Broiled Apples

1. Slice in thin wedges 6 large, firm apples; take your pick. Fujis, Grannies and Goldens bake well (or any apple will do nicely).

2. Toss the apples slices with the grated zest from 1 lemon and the juice from same lemon, broil 8 inches from heat for about 5 minutes

3. Drizzle sauce made from heated rum or maple syrup, add ice cream or other frozen treat if desired.
